This is one of the quirkiest &#8212; the World Black Pudding Throwing Championship at Ramsbottom&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"450\" height=\"253\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/znLPAleeyz4?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We bought a couple of the (competition class?) black puddings while we were there, as supplied by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buryblackpuddings.co.uk\">Bury Black Pudding Company<\/a>. They were surprisingly herby, and tasted <strong>very<\/strong> different to the kind of black pudding that I normally buy. That <em>might<\/em> be because &#8212; in a rash moment of health-consiousness &#8212; I opted for the lean version instead of the regular version&#8230; or perhaps they just do things differently in Lancashire. They were nice enough, but I think I prefer my blutwurst a bit less herby.
